The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), Govt. of Assam, has called for applications in a prescribed format from eligible and interested candidates’ for filling 577 vacancies to the post of Assistant Architects, Junior Engineers and Assistant Engineers (Civil) under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department through direct recruitment.

Assistant Engineer
  • B.E or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by
    Government in regular course

Junior Engineer (Civil)
  • A Candidate must have passed Engineering (Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering) from any institution approved by the AICTE and
    recognized by Government in regular course.

Assistant Architect
  •  Bachelors Degree in Architecture from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Government.
  •  Should be registered with the Council of Architecture, India
Age Limit

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38
years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. Norms.

Requirements

Apart from holding the above mentioned educational qualification, the candidates must also fulfil the given requirements to apply for the Assam PSC Recruitment for JE, AE, and Assistant Architect.

  1. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
  2. The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form.
  3. Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i,e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

 

APSC JE Recruitment 2020 Application Fee

1. For General/EWS Candidate: Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
3. For BPL Candidate: Nil

Fees should be deposited through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing the name of the post and department. Original copy of Treasury Challan should be submitted along with the application form.
OR
Fees can be deposited online using Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS (Website: https://assamegras.gov.in).

A printed copy of Treasury Challan generated through GRAS should be submitted along with the application form.

 

How to apply for APSC JE AE Recruitment 2020

The candidates who are willing to apply for APSC JE, AE, and Assistant Architect shall apply in offline mode only. The Application Form for APSC Recruitment 2020 is given below.

The application form must reach the address by 17th August 2020 (Extended). The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should send at the following address given below:

Applications must be accompanied by self attested copies of the under-mentioned documents

1. Original treasury Challan depositing prescribed application fee.
2. Age proof certificate (HSLC/Class X Board Admit Card/Pass Certificate).
3. Certificates & mark sheets of all examinations from HSLC onwards up to the level of qualifying examination.
4. Caste certificate (wherever necessary) of reserved categories issued by appropriate authority.

APSC Recruitment 2020 – Functional Manager/ Project Manager/ Deputy Director (21 posts), Assistant Director (12 posts), Assistant Engineer (4 posts) and Junior Engineer (12 posts)

 

Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government in the scale of pay as indicated below and carrying usual allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

(A)1. NAME OF THE POST :- Functional Manager/Project Manager/Deputy Director under Industries and Commerce Department.

2. NO. OF POST :- 21 (Twenty one)

3. SCALE OF PAY :- Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/-; PB – 4 with Grade Pay of Rs.14,500/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
A candidate must have at least a Bachelors Degree in any branch of
Engineering or in Arts or Science or commerce of a University or any other institution in India or abroad, recognized by the Government for the purpose with minimum of 2nd class honours (Major) in any Specific Subject or distinction in degree course.

5. EXPERIENCE:
A candidate must hold responsible and Senior Position in the Government Department/Govt. under taking, at least for 8 years out of which 5 years must have been in the rank not below Assistant Director of Industries.
6. AGE :- The candidates should not be less than 30 years of age and not more than 45 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable as per rule.

 

(B) 1. NAME OF THE POST :- Assistant Director of Cottage Industries and its equivalent posts under Industries & Commerce Department.

2. NO. OF POST :- 12 (Twelve)

3. SCALE OF PAY :- Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/-; PB – 4 with Grade Pay of Rs.13,900/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
A candidate must have at least a Bachelors Degree in any branch of
Engineering or in Arts or Science or commerce of a University or any other institution in India or abroad, recognized by the Government for the purpose with minimum of 2nd class honours (Major) in any Specific Subject or distinction in degree course.
5. EXPERIENCE:
A candidate must hold responsible and Senior Position in the Government Department/Govt. under taking, at least for 4 years in the rank of Superintendent of Industries or its equivalent post.
6. AGE :- The candidates should not be less than 25 years of age and not more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable as per rule.

 

(C) 1. NAME OF THE POST :- Assistant Engineer under the Directorate of Inland Water Transport, Assam under Transport Department.

2. NO. OF POST :- 4 (Four)
(i) 3 nos. – Mechanical
(ii) 1 no. – Civil

3. SCALE OF PAY :- Rs. 30,000/- to 1,10,000/-; PB – 4 with Grade Pay of Rs.12,700/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

4. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :-
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form.

5. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
(i) Bachelors Degree in (Civil/Mechanical) Engineering from a Govt. recognized University/institute approved by the AICTE.
(ii) The Bachelors Degree in Engineering must be a Regular Course.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents. )

6. AGE :- The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable as per rule.

 

(D) 1. NAME OF THE POST :- Junior Engineer under the Directorate of Inland Water Transport, Assam under Transport Department.

2. NO. OF POST :- 12 (Twelve)
(i) 6 nos. – Mechanical
(ii) 3 nos. – Civil
(iii) 3 nos. – Electrical

3. SCALE OF PAY :- Rs. 14,000/- to 60,500/-; PB – 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.8,700/-
plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of the Govt. of Assam.

4. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :-
(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose as a proof of residency along with the application form.

5. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
3 years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Civil/Electrical) from a Govt. recognized Institute approved by AICTE. (Attach self attested valid supporting documents. )

6. AGE :- The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2020. The upper age limit is relaxable as per rule.

 

HOW TO APPLY

The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.

The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on 31-07-2020 during office hours.

APPLICATION FEES

As per Govt. Notification No. FEG.32/2016/8-A dated Dispur the 28th October, 2016 communicated vide letter No. ABP.60/2014/11 dated 2nd February 2018 the Application Fees for all post under the State Govt. of Assam shown as below:
1. For General/EWS Candidate : Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
3. For BPL Candidate : Nil (Candidate having BPL certificate should produce
their photocopy of certificate along with the Application Form).
4. As per Govt. Notification No. ABP 144/95/121 dated Dispur the 28th October, 2015 for persons with disabilities (PWD) candidates, the Application Fees for all posts under the State Govt. of Assam is Nil. PWD candidates should enclose with the application from photocopy of necessary certificate from a competent authority.

DIRECT RECRUITMENT:

The selection procedure will be notified later on followed by issuing
corrigendum/addendum, if required.
The commission will decide the provision for selection in respect of any post/posts or service/ services considering the status, cadre and grade or the number of applications received for the advertised post/posts or service/ services.
The Commission will also decide to conduct examination/test etc. zone wise,
depending upon the numbers of candidates against the districts shown below:
