PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

APSC’s Research Assistant (in Planning Services under Transformation and Development Department) Exam 2023 consist of only one General Studies (GS) paper consisting of 200 Marks Multiple-Choice Questions from twelve areas of new syllabus of the General Studies subject. APSC has released notification for 25 posts of Research Assistant in Planning Services under Transformation & Development Department, Govt of Assam. 

No. of Posts: 25 (Twenty Five)

Reservation of posts: 16 posts for Open Category, 5 posts for OBC/MOBC, 1 post for SC, 2 posts for STP and 1 post for STH.

Scale of Pay: – Pay scale + Grade Pay + Other allowances as admissible to the Assam State Government employees from time to time (per month).

Pay scale (PB – 3):  Rs. 22, 000/- to 97 ,000/-  + Grade Pay: Rs. 9,400/-

Age Eligibility:

The candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023. The upper age limit is relaxable :
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years as per Govt. Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
(iii) For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidate as per Govt. Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January, 2019.

Education Qualification :

Bachelor Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from any recognized University with either Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Social Work, Business Administration, Business Management, Geography or Commerce as one of the subjects. Preference shall be given to Honours Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria :

(i) The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
(ii) The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/
Employment Exchange Registration certificate / Voter ID card of the candidate or
his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency along with the application form.
State Govt. Employees of Assam need not submit any documents regarding domicile proof, however, they will have to submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective employer.
